Default NSX engine in an S2000 ?

Has it been attempted or done ??

Will the gearbox take the extra torque

Is there room for it ?

Just a thought really, with capacity and torque and the sweet chassis you could never want another car

I remember a thread on this not long after I joined the board and I think that yes it has been done but with great difficulty....

A transversely, mid, mounted engine was never meant to go longitudinally into the front of a car.

I think that there is a hell of a problem getting a gearbox to work...

Coupled with the fact that the engines spin different directions

It's too wide - wouldn't fit between the front shock towers. So you'd need major work. You could fit the V6 from the Accord Coupe - they're not very powerful for 3l as standard, but are easily tuned.

Or you could try and get Mugen to sell you the V8 they're used in the LMP that was at LeMans. With careful planning on the exhaust manifold, I reckon that'd fit

Wasn't at Le Mans this year so what happened to the Mugen V8 LMP Brian?? Should I be kicking out the Macamobile's F20C+VortechSC for this new lump?

Seem to remember it wasn't as reliable/fast as a Dome-Judd V10, but it wasn't bad for a first race. I've got the LMP900 sticker on my bumper, if only there was 600+bhp to go with it!!

Contra rotating engine isnt too much of a problem, just turn diff upside down. But width between shock towers is
