Ok I finally managed to get my head in the orofice during daylight (ooh er missus) and I think the crunching is something to do with the brake light switch hence why it makes more noise on let up as the switch gets pushed to turn brake light off. Not worked out whether I need a new switch yet though. Initial lubing hasn't done much.
On another note, whilst down there I noticed that the clutch pedal has what I assume is a free play adjustment nut. Am I ok to adjust this myself as my clutch pedal has some free movement before it actually starts resisting my foot pressure?
Thanks in advance
Tim
