I like keeping the S special. Makes me appreciate it so much more than a daily run-a-round.

It all comes down to 'soul'.......

the S2000 is the only other car that I have experienced 1st hand that 'has it'....I can't put my finger on it entirely but the engine plays a large part

In many ways the S2000 feels like a scaled down version of the Ferrari back in the days when they weren't pandering to the sort of people who buy 911's. By that I mean practicality and creature comforts were very much secondary to everything else

When they designed the Testarossa no one gave a if a set of golf clubs would go in the luggage area for example or where the drinks holders would pop out of. It was designed to carry two people in relative comfort very rapidly over long distances, not some namby pamby posing pouch to turn up at the golf club in

The S2000 follows the same ethos....just enough practicality to travel long distances in with a relative degree of comfort coupled with a unique engine that provides the heart and soul

So in a nutshell CC.......the S2000 has a 'soul' which is why I regard it in the same way as I do the Fezza

Such a shame it's worth so little now relatively speaking....a Boxster S would be worth more

Got some rust on the rear valance that needs sorting but it's not a high priority issue at the moment

I have a photo somewhere of a Testarossa taken by my son out of the rear window of my Lotus Carlton in 1995.
You can see the gap opening up at 175+ as the Lotus simply starts to rip the Ferrari's head off on a continental motorway.
If I find it, I'll post it.
BTW we had 4 people in the car and it was still much quicker!

That weekend was supposed to be it's swansong before leaving 'the fold'......in the end the p/x value was shite.......and brokering it would have left about enough cash to buy an new S2000.....simply wasn't worth getting rid of the old girl in the end

There is some quite bad rust on the rear valance which considering it doens't get wet is slightly odd but then again a 14 year old car will have some rust I guess

I think I will bring it to Keevil next track day and stretch it's legs....although at Keevil the S2000's, Elises et al will easily run rings around it.....
