Default Not Bad For A Courtesy Car!!

Hi all,

The S went in for a service today. The lovely peeps at Honda Blackpool let me have a car for the day so i could get to work. I managed to get a CTR, not bad eh!!
I really like the CTR, it's not an S but if i had 15k for a new car i would definately get a Type R.

Here are some pics, sorry about the location!!

While i was having my service done, i thought i would get the lads to put my chrome honda and S badges on. I LIKE !!

What do you guys think?

Hope you guys and gals have all got the top down.

An 04 plate CTR that isn't the 04-facelift model? Very peculiar!

Good spot Durzel! Must have been an oldy that didn't sell, so they registered it as a demo.

I've still got my S badges Ian. Never got round to putting them on. I decided to get the chrome badges from Tim at MPT in the US. I will eventually hunt them down and sell them on for the price i bought them for.

Marks out of ten?

Also, while i was at Honda, i spoke to a salesman i know and he told me a few weeks back a young lad came in with a old mini, bought an 04 S out of the showroom and wrote it off 2 days later.

Cause : Back end went on a roundabout. The lad was ok though.

I hope Honda UK don't read this BB as if they discovered Honda customers have a non Honda as a courtesy car they would g* a*** s***.

As far as the 03 model on an 04 plate is concerned, this is not unusual, perhaps not with CTR but generally. A model to be face-lifted will not sell easily, so an option is to take it on as dealer car and then sell it later with miles. Honda residual values are so high on nearly new cars and this could very well be the dealers best option.

It is a Mondeo BTW. I used to drive them as a "user chooser" prior to running a motor business. I thought Fords were unecessarily maligned cars. The only problem was consitent cracked windscreens as I took the Worthing bound A24 bends too fast and the chassis moved and the glass did not. Or that could have been the string of Sierras I drove?? In any case they were happy days.
