Noob warranty & battery questions
Noob owner of Indy Yellow 05 having trouble with battery going flat.
Have temporarily fitted Halfords battery, which is still holding its charge after two weeks of use, so I think the problem is the original battery as opposed to alternator etc.
Was flat on forecourt when I bought the car 3 months ago, but the dealer said they fitted a new battery before I collected the car.
Is the battery likely to be covered by the warranty or am I on a hiding to nothing?
Do I have to go back to the original dealer 25 miles away for a warranty claim or can I just go to the local Honda dealer down the road? Not sure I totally trust the original dealer!
Have tried forum search to no avail - sorry if these are dumb questions answered elsewhere.
Cheers

Your car is covered by the standard 3 year, 90,000 or 60,000 mile manufacturers warranty therefore providing it is within that criteria call a Honda dealer of your choice and see if they have a battery in stock to fit then get it booked in to test the battery and replace if necc.
It does need to be on the car though and it would assist if you have any breakdown sheets from the AA under Honda Assist confirming the problem.

there are a few variables
a dealer is a dealer up north or down south.
but depends what warranty you got with car.
should be still covered under 3 yr warranty.
did they put an original battery back on ( other dealers can refuse if it is not genuine)
they could want battery for a few days to charge it up, let it stand and drop test it.
try to give it back to seller and ask to be present when drop tested. but it should be off charge for 12 hours before drop testing.
