Default Non OEM brake pads - reuse shims?

Hi all

What is the forum consensus when replacing OEM brake pads by non OEM (if they do not come with shims - in my case Ferodo DS2500)

Do you reuse the old shims?
Are they available for sale separately?

Many thanks all

I reuse mine, but you can get them separately if you wish.

Part no.3 for the fronts here: http://www.lingshondaparts.com/honda...block_03=19250

Awesome pad choice, DS2500's all round on mine and the stopping power is amazing. But yeah, shims are fine to re use.

It makes no difference to your braking safety/performance.

They are to prevent squeal.

Copper grease - Just copper grease EVERYTHING, except the pad face, obviously...
