In case any of you were interested, I ended up buying a top from G-10... it's Monte Carlo, but was a good price and I never would have got a matching colour anyway.
I think I will go the paint-matched route and get this resprayed in a couple of weeks, but for now it looks like this, see what you think... it's not too ridiculous, but don't think I could live with it for long!

Interesting, not too bad, as you say.
Just a bit too far off the bodywork, but not contrasting enough to work.
I agree, a respray will be in order.

Agreed, like the contrast.
I'd like to get a black hardtop, have a black windscreen surround already so either a black or carbon bonnet would look good imo. Just need the money now....

Well it's been a while, but finally got round to having the much-needed paint job to get a colour-match... I reckon it looks wicked, but then I am bias
