If any sort of clicking noise then probably LSD (just replaced mine 
) but if whirring pobably just clutch buzz or normal LSD noise, I have a DC2 also and the S2000 LSD does make similar noises.

Mine was fixed under Honda Care warranty Ben it is a common problem on the older S i believe, even though mine was makin that noise with only 22k miles on the clock. Its cured completely now though.
