Default No More Blue Hoods?

Apparently there are no more blue hoods being fitted to nurburgring blue S2000's from Japan (at least not for the next few months), a whole load of Nurby blue /blue lthr/blue hood, S2000's were ordered from Japan by Bob Gerard and they turned up with black hoods. . .

I know this cos mine is one of em.

Its not BG's fault cos they ordered the right ones but Honda are being lazy.
(People at Bob Gerard are top guys)

The same is happening to other importers like Honda UK

How hard is it to fit a blue soft top ?? Ive seen em for $1000 US dollars

God what am I to do, is there anyone out there with a nurby and black hood, if so wouldnt you want a blue one?

God what to do. . . . Ive waited for 5 months now im devastated.

Probably doesn't help you, but for what it's worth, I think the car looks better with a black hood ...

If it's not what you want don't accept it unless they offer you a discount which will cover the cost of fitting a new one in the colour you want

That is pretty annoying for Honda not to even tell their customers that they wouldn't be sending the cars with blue hoods. I would ask for some kind of discount as the car isn't the spec you ordered, that's if you can live with a black hood (I think it looks good).

This sounds like to me.
This would mean that Honda would not be supplying cars with blue hoods to franchised UK dealers also. Can't believe that would happen.
I suspect Bob Gerard is importing cars from countries where the cars are supplied with a black hood only. IIRC Al2 bought his from Bob Gerard around September last year, and his came with a black hood then - you might like to PM him to see what story they gave him.....

You are well within you rights to reject your car, because the car is not what you ordered. I've not seen a nurby with a black hood so I can't comment what it looks like, but if you decide to accept the car make sure you get free stuff off them because of it, for example free servicing is always a good one.

Fortunately I ordered my RNBP car with a black hood and it's come with a black hood.

This is what Bob Gerard told Al2 (AL2 quoted from Megameet 1 review thread)
A slightly different story then......

[QUOTE]Yes, that's ours.
Didn't ask for it, somewhat surprised when I went to collect it, but actually rather like it now
