They are right - I watched him test them and he explained the graphs to me as well.

I tried to get Pete to do a MK1 but he wasn't convinced there was any benefit. I guess we need a South Mk1 owner to buy a set of Nitrons and insist on a test to decide on his spring rates

Hmmm, makes me wonder whether I should therefore go for 300 lb rear springs rather than my current set up of 300lb front, 375lb rear Mind you, the rear is too soft as standard, and the suspension components are the same between the Mk1 and the Mk2, so what I've actually done is adopted the more hardcore Mk1 suspension spring rate balance

Budgie, you know it makes sense

Thanks Nigel, so it indeed sounds likes the Mk2 did indeed have spring rate changes and I've adopted the Mk1 suspension balance

The rate you have is a good usable rate, Ohlins ( Top draw make) are /were front 308lbs rear 365lbs so your pretty near to that, much more poundage starts to get to harsh.
If your tracking it a lot then a bit higher wouldnt harm but your quick road use would suffer.

I'm running mine at 4 clicks from full soft rebound (18 clicks of adjustment) at the moment - my Tanabe anti roll bars combined with lower profile tyres have made track handling much better but compromised the ride. I've had a little play with the independent high speed compression but little adjustments seem to make quite a difference! I turned the compression to full soft to see what happened and it was far too easy to hit the bumper stops on a bumpy country lane!
