Nickel wheels?
I recently saw a black Saab convertible, with black nickel wheels and it looked pretty good.
My question is, can forged alloys be black nickel plated? Or more specifically, can the OEMs (16s or 17s) be nickel plated?
Has anything similar been done before? Can anyone of the photoshop gurus attach a pair if OEM 17s on a MCB?

Nickel's a right royal PIA, since it oxidises.
Best thing to do is to plate it with Chromium.
(Chromium won't stick to steel without Ni underneath!)
Black chrome is quite popular & can be faked with paint, too.
Ask eSeM!

Thanks Nick. Didn't know it could be faked with paint. Even though the car is not used in the rain, I do agree that nickel would be a right PITA to preserve looking good.

I think you may be into mega-bucks for this.
The quality of the finish is all in the preparation and that means loads of polishing.
I recently had a set of four quarter bumpers for my X1/9 Lido re-plated - cost me the best part of

Each to their own of course, but with a relatively dark coloured car such as yours George, I would stay with the the lighter coloured wheel - contrast is good.
As for my NIOP I'm pretty certain that come winter when the car is garaged-up I will have the wheels painted a very dark metallic grey to contrast with the light colour of the car.

I agree with you Mark and I never considered such a thing before but seeing them on a black car got me thinking. They looked great and I am quite confident they would the same on a MCB.

IIRC they powdercoat the wheels black and then spray silver over the black:
These and these are closer to what I have in mind...
Maybe it's the picture...
BTW, I really love what you have done to those MF-10s. They look great
