Update on a previous post, Springfield Honda now have a replacement for my corroded wheel.

My car does not have extended warranty and will be 4yrs old in 2 weeks time. I didn't even have to argue about it, although Springfield may have done that for me.

I'm going to leave it (the new wheel) at the dealers until March when my service is due and this will hopefully avoid too much salt getting to the wheel.

Are you sure you want to do that Neil?

They might have lost it come March.

It's only a few weeks away now and it makes sense to get it done when I get the car serviced.

i'm waiting to see if anyone has managed to get '02 wheels replaced. mine are a disgrase and will be trying just before the next service is due.
are some dealers easier than others or do they all have to go through the same proceedes?

I've got no pitting on my 56,000 mile, kept outdoors 02 wheels, but i do have a couple of spots of very annoying black stuff which seems to be stuck on. Tried various cleaning solutions, cant get it off (and even an electric toothbrush) Whats the crack with that?!
