Default Newbie here!

Hello everyone.

I've been lurking in the background for a little while now and have just been given the go ahead from my boss that i can by an S with my car allowance.

I have about 16k max to spend which would buy me a 2004 car from bonsai (according to the ad in the autotrader). Has anyone used these people before?

Also - are there any other importers that deal with second hand cars? It seems you can get a fairly new car for 3/4 year old price. How can i guard against dodgy histories with Japanese imports?

Finally - what does the MY stand for when in front of the year? newer model, i think but cant place the letters!

Anyway. Thanks in advance

Steve

Bonsai, I'm thinkg Jap import - perceptive eh?

I`m also thinking it probably isn't possible and its one of those fake ads that never bring up the goods.

(Not fake as in a scam fake, but fake as in the car you actually want never exists).

Here -

http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/WWW/cars_...rch_full=SEARCH

Kinda sticks out like a sore thumb, doesnt it? i haven't spoken to them yet and first thoughts are about if something seems too good to be true etc. But i thought i'd see whether anyone on here had any experience of them.

their website seems pretty professional if a little difficult to navigate and the cars start bidding at very low prices (you have to add on about 50% for all the charges). Still, worth investigating imo.
