Default Newbie Alert!

Hello all,

Been reading the forum for a while now, but registered today as I now own an S. Absolutley delighted!

Ive wanted an S for a long time, finances and the insurance (i'm under 25) put paid to it until now.

Got a moon rock, 06 plate with red/black interior from Chathams in Edinburgh on Monday. Have not stopped smilling since. Still getting used to the car, its my first rear wheel drive and the conditions here have not been great since I bought it. Cant wait till the better weather to get the roof down and go for a long drive.

I was proud of myself as i found the 2 secret comapartments and the map holder, but that all went to pot last night when I went to put petrol in. It took me a good 10 mins to find the latch to release the petrol cap.

I looked a right tool!

At least i'm not the only one then.

Worst thing was I read the FAQ's as Gaspode suggested and laughed to myself how people where asking these 'stupid' questions.

Large slice of humble pie for me

I did the same when I bought my first one, after I bought it I noticed the fuel was low. Pulled into the Shell garage and tried to find the petrol latch but no way.

Luckliy for me I pulled into a Trident Honda Shell garage where I could both fill up and ask where the petrol catch is.

I felt like a complete tool but I explained that I have only bought the car about 5 minutes ago

Maybe there should be a bit added to the FAQ's that informs all new users to wear a t-shirt with "I have only owned this car a week!" emblazened across in flashy lights?
