Id be interested to hear of any rubbing as im going for 18's v soon - and dont want rub! Going for the 225 / 255 option.

Not lowering just yet either....

If you hit a speed bump or hole in the road you will get a rub , other than that I don't have a problem. I have eibachs.

I had the same alloys and tyre sizes as Jamie. I also got the rubbing he described. But I ALSO go it in hard cornering when the suspension was in compression. I DID NOT lower mine either! Yeah they do look better "slammed" But IMHO it compromises the suspension too much. On my 04GT I am putting on 18" and the same tyres again but 0.5" narrower alloys with slightly less aggressive offsets!

Im running 225/40r18 and 255/35r18 on the rear lowered on eibachs and I get absolutely no buffing, but the wheels are quite wide so the tyre wall is stretched on the wheel more than just straight walls, but definitely have never had the car buffing.
