Hold on; don't the Rays require a tapered nut seat (not a spherical one like OEM) just like their Mugen cousins require?

I'd check before driving it!

You still need to check if the seats have been damaged from where you have torqued them up. Alloy is a little soft!

Do you shudder when you see your own car since you have aftermarket wheels

More of a lustful twinge than a shudder!

Difference is, I DO understand what I'm doing wrt sizes, weights, offsets, spigot rings where necessary and the effects of f ucking it up.

The majority haven't got the understanding to fit wheeltrims and that scares me.

I can really see why the Germans insist that only TüV-approved accesories are lawful. Even then, they are masters of hideous wheels with unsuitable offsets. At least they are only gonna wreck the suspension over time and not shear off at speed.

They are forged, so ought to crack first.

The only way of checking 100% is to get them x-rayed.

Or ensure they are properly spigot-mounted & not floating and are correctly torqued & keep a check for cracks regularly.

Dye penetrent spray.

But i'm not sure they would crack first unless really overtorqued.
