It may well do.

The OEM tyres have very stiff side walls whereas most other makes don't. IIRC you need to set the pressure to around 34 or 36 all round to cure the problem with the tyres you have.

edit: doh , I missed the fact that you have overinflated them. The tyres will feel mushy still but you will get used to them. Or you have made an expensive mistake. Time will tell.

T1-R's do take some miles to break-in. (as do all tires)
I've seen 1000miles mentioned somwhere.

I've got these on my 02 and they are fine!

Nowhere near as good as the S02 -JZ imho, good wet & dry (when warm of course)

give it 2-300 miles and they will be as good as they ever will be, if the balance is off you will feel it through bum or steering.

Just hope they fitted them the right way on the rim (directional)

If not happy take them back, but as they are not OEM expect a

I thought the release compound only affects grip, not tramlining which is more usually attributed to geo and tyre groove pattern and tyre pressure.

fair comment but shit grip = shit handling

I put a new set of snow tyres on a couple of winters ago, completely forgot about running them in and the car was handling very badly under acceleration.

Plus I went 4 feet into a junction when I tried to stop

Agreed that they probably need some time to bed in - but when your setting the car up into a corner or changing lane at speed you can really feel the arse of the car moving before the change of direction comes in. (Makes me clench my butt cheeks every time!!!!)

Which of course is down to the slightly higher and less stiff side wall - but it is giving me little confidence to blast down the motorway!

Rahula - an expensive mistake but could also be a great excuse to shred them as quick as poss ;-)
