Ive been contemplating visiting Salisbury soon as I have some friends there I havnt seen for a while and there'll be in for surprise when they see the car. I'll let you know when, perhaps we could meet up.

What everyone is avoiding telling you is every uk model is an ap1 regardless of age. US and some late jap specs were AP2, with 2.2 litre engines. We call them facelift and prefacelift or refer to them by the year (MY) people get very touchy about it for some bizarre reason...... Me? I dont care, call it what you want. I am waiting for the day when some smart arse does come along with an Imported AP2 and proves them wrong for telling him/her otherwise. But its not likely to happen.
Apart from that, most on here are up for a laugh and will give you plenty of good advise with their diverse knowledge of this amazingly fun little motor!
