Why not Blue LEDs. or the ones that cycle through the entire spectrum.

Did you fix the leak though?

I had a lamp leak and its not the cluster, but the seal between the cluster and inner metal flitch plate.

Water runs off the boot, or sprays up inside the corner of the wheel arch and gets behind the damaged seal and will run straight into the cluster.
I would take a look at the seals before you knacker another one mate.

Oh, and the iffy seal was from a previous repair, so good luck!

Like the LED idea though, inventive all of you

Unless you make your front side markers work, it'll look odd. Not really, but it's a new challenge.

Hay I can see..... Dont like it each to there own I guess, would have been cool to use to use it like a repeater for the indicators.

Yeah, I appreciate it's not to everyone's taste. As I said, it was there to be done!

MC - I maywell do that one day, but i'd have to use orange LED's. Not a real technical issue though as the indicator loom is right there and I made my fly lead with enough room to do any later additions

m1bjr - yeah, I had a similar problem on the Civic, but I checked that and it was definately the light cluster

Fitted the red LED's anyway:

Looks like you bought those rear lights used from the US - the red reflector is not intentionally lighter than the EU ones. The Us cars had an issue with them fading - a TSB was issued and a lot of guys in the US had their rear lights replaced free. You definitely are unique by having paid for a set of faded US lights.

Light mod looks okay though
