Default New pads required!

Just noticed iam in need of some rear brake pads. Decided iam just gonna do the fronts at the same time. Was just wondering whats the best pads to use on the S2K, had Green stuff pads on the scooby and were pretty good but wondering if its worth getting after market stuff or is the standard pads good enough?????

check the guide but thought green stuff were only suitable for cars up to 200bhp, red ones for over that if i remember correctly.

IIRC Green stuff are for cars <1.5tonne weight / small size engine.
Red stuff is for cars >1.5tonne weight or fast road use.
Yellow stuff for light track.
Blue stuff for heavy track.

Red stuff is recomended by EBC for S2000 road use.

I used them on the Scooby and they ate disk material badly.

Used Ferodo DS2500 on a few cars with better than stock results.
You just missed a group buy on the FS section too, shame.
Ask Lee, LTB if he has any spare.

I'm running red stuff pads on the fronts, they are fine. Less dust than with standard pads, maybe take a little bit of warming before they are as immediate to bite as standard pads, but I'm very happy with them. They last longer on track before they succumb to fade.

Im currently on my 2nd set of Redstuff pads (for both front & rear) the pad lasted ~12k motoway miles.

Im using EBC turbo grooved disk and they are still on the 1st set.

I'm running redstuffs and tracked them for the first time yesterday. Bare in mind I managed to destroy a set of relatively new rear OEM pads on my first track day. The red stuffs are slightly better than stock on the road and were ok on the track, but still faded after a few (~3-4) laps and were smoking quite a lot when I stopped. But they didn't fall apart like the OEMs did. I'm using stock rear discs and DBA4000 fronts. The DBAs have temp sensitive paint on them and didn't seem to be getting too hot. The fluid is RBF600 and doesn't seem to be boiling, so I can only assume the fade I felt was the pads. I'll be trying DS2500s next time, despite the increased price.
