Hi, at last I have found like minded on one of the best cars I have ever owned, I even convinced my son to buy one. I get more fun from this car than my last air cooled 911 that was a fab car but the cost was nearly three 2000s.

Welcome Graham.
Interestingly, a father and son I know who drive a Ferrari F355 and a late Porsche 911 turbo respectively, both had a little go in my S2000. I couldn't get the keys back off 'em. It says something about this car which is pretty unique.

Great to find another S2000 fan in the North Lincs area Graham, I'm in Messingham myself and should be an owner within the the next month or so. Your S2k must be the one my other half spotted in Brigg.

Hi Graham, and welcome to the board.
I guess you won't be a million miles from where I bought my S2000 last July (very low mileage from a "sunny days only" private owner in Burton on Stather).
I was telling Wooly that the dealer up there that originally supplied the car fitted the between-seats windscreen the wrong way round and made a complete cock-up of fitting the CAT1 (disabling the remote boot release). I've had the former fixed and am trying to get the latter looked at locally, under warranty.

Welcome to the boards!
Re. your sons insurance - ask him to try getting quotes with you as a named drived on his car. It seems bizzare to me, but several S2000 owners have reduced their premiums by adding a respectable, mature, grey haired relative to their policy.
(This is not the old 'driving on dads insurance' scam, but a perfectly up front way of getting a reduction in premium - the policy will be in your sons name - you will mearly be a named driver.)
Strange, but in some cases, true!
