New Laser Detector...any reviews?
My old man is looking for a replacement for his Snooper sapphire. Came across this GPS / laser / radar detector. Looks a little like a Valentine One with GPS to boot. Anyone heard anything good about it?

I have a snooper S3neo. Can't fault its GPS capabilities but not sure if its fisher-price laser detector actually works

wouldn't bother with a laser detector, general rule of thumb - by the time it's warning you there is a laser, you've been 'got'.
I'm considering the new road angel live thing.

If you want a true detector - this is worth considering

Or just drive within the speed limits

Squeak has a Pogo...it's very good and gives you plenty of warning
It doesn't alert you to a 'live' laser site, merely that one exists along that part of the of road.

TomTom LIVE has the usual GPS stuff, and mine is also loaded daily with the excellent database from PocketGPSworld (best there is).
TomTom live also allows immediate sharing of sites just like the Roadangel connected.
A SIM in the TomTom keeps regular contact with the servers in the same way.
Combined, the two are a powerful tool once set up correctly.
Im a regular high miler, and in ten years only 3pts and that was becuase I though I was still in a 40 and did just that through a trap - my fault!
Bloody coppers in Lancaster, no remorse!
I would think the longevity of radar and laser detectors is limited, they keep on about banning them again but time will tell.
As stated, the laser is hard to counter and I havent yet seen one mobile radar Mini-GATSO on my travels in UK.
