The Mugen I find is pretty quiet on tick over? It's only when you first start the car and it idles at 2000rpm thats it's a little noisy.

Some people just love to complain as you have a fancy car! Thankfully, the neighbor has a 911 and that's louder than mine, so no complaint's!

Hypersonic doesnt believe in Mugen, besides having something civilised fitted to his car might even help stop the fun he is currently having with the Plod LOL.

I suggest he goes for the ASM single, still the best sounding exhaust for the S2000 if you want a single pipe.

Thanks for the input!

The difference with Mugen/Toda/J's is that they all cost >

Multitude of factors.

Drone is essentially resonance.

Angles, baffles, diameters, thicknesses all will play a part.

Generally a decat gets rid of drone.

Had a mate who ran an N1 on an FTO, sounded quite superb, no noticeable drone from within the car or when following, just sounded sweet but 'raw' when the mivec kicked in, nice burble (is that a word?!?!) on tickover - bet it'd sound even better under VTEC power though

Little off topic, but does everyone run 2.5" pipework? Had a custom one made with 3" on an N/A FTO and had dyno-proved hp gains - different car admittedly, but good gains...

2.5" seems to be the standard although 3" is an option - the GReddy Ti-C single is 3" pipework
