New, engine what oil?
Having a new engine(short block) fitted by Honda on monday, should the dealer be putting a mineral based oil in for the running in period? I asked them and they said no but I'm not so sure myself, I would have thought it would need running in oil in it but then again when you buy the car new that would mean it having running in oil in it for 9k miles till its first service. My plan would be to use mineral oil for 1k miles then change over to fully synthetic, what are peoples thoughts on this?
