I would give 3 months from the day of purchase, provided all the shipping/ returns were paid.

Got my replacement engine just recently (april) from douglasvalley.co.uk via ebay. My MY00 had knocking (56k RM) which was confirmed as knacked crank and shell once I'd got it out and stripped. (Interestingly, the No4 piston had been changed in the past and the cylinder re-honed - guessing by a Honda dealer?) Once I'd found a nice 05 engine on ebay (think it went electronic throttle from 06 on?), the guys at DoglasValley sent vid links showing it running and then load of pics of the removal from the damaged donor. Included pics of the compression and leakdown tests on each cylinder. Engine came bare (luckily except for knock sensor - oops - beware breaking that!)so you'll need gasket set for inlet/exhaust manifold. Maybe not cheapest supplier (£1830 inc delivery) but came with all info I needed to be confident in the history of the engine and expertise of the scrappy in removing and shipping it. Used all my old sensor/loom and ECU no snags. Running sweet now and I'm that paranoid re oil I've fitted separate pressure gauge!! Seems a huge variety of engines out there - at least Douglas Valley have a full warranty although you'll need it garage-fitted to comply (I opted for garage fitting - that is :- my garage and me fitting!)
