kl thanks whats all this trigger wheel stuff mean ! i have sourced a 2006 fully rebuilt engine inc oil pump,shells,pistons,rods ect ect but only as a long block no extra's which will suit me fine
can someone who def knows the ins and outs of what i exactly need to change plz let me know in order , so i can fit this as smoothly as possible as ill need to let my mechanics know what to do, thanks everytone for all ur kind help

sorry to keep bothering u all but am i correct in saying the cam and carnk trigger wheels need changed if putting an 06 engine into a 99 ! also is there anything else i should know of before fitting ! thanks

The PCV assembly is different in the rocker box, presume the hosing is the same though?
So later rocker box cover beneficial if you dont have it with the new motor

This is why we said fit an MY04-05 rather than an 06

Give GarageR (he's a member and trader on here) a call...he may have the knowledge you require.

I've been using a MY04 engine with a jap ecu for a couple of years now. All ok, still get the nice vtec 'kick'.
