Default NEW CARPET

OK, I noticed that my nice red carpet has a hole in it...( blaming the GF and her bloody heels) now I was going to try and repair it but found a breakers that had one for a fairly good price so I brought it..

My question is has anyone ever replaced one before and how hard was it to do..? I am not great at doing things like this and wondered if its worth getting a garage to do it...or would anyone fancy giving me a hand in fitting it...?? I live in Thruxton, hampshire. I would of course palm your hand with silver....or beers etc.

cheers

I've lifted the carpets to insert sound deadening material underneath. There are quite a few poppers and you'll undoubtedly break one or two, but its not too difficult a job.

OK..thats sounds good, I will give it a go then. I got concerned as I thought it might be held in with glue, if its anything like the boot carpet then your right i will break a few clips....cheers

Its worth buying the Honda ESM manual on CD off ebay for a fiver - it shows the full extent of the clips, particularly those hidden in the footwell (just keep unscrewing the big white knob!) and there's quite a few tucked in, under the HU area.

Hi Tebs,
Thruxton is a small village near Andover, there is a Motor Racing circuit there..I reckon it would take about 30 mins from Southampton...depending on your driving of course..

Just let us know when you are around, I was thinking about doing it maybe this sunday if the weather is good..? but I am flexible on that as I would rather have the help then none at all.
