Depends on your budget.
Do you want brand new or 12/18mths old..
skoda/ seat/ audi/ vw etc are all from the same stable.
just like
ford/ volvo/ mazda
vauxhall/ saab/ chevolet
are you a badge snob....
if not and you want value for money skoda and seat, dieseal engines are very good, plus tend to come fully loaded.
Lexus is200, JD power survey top car last couple of years. plus they are introducing a dieseal that supposed to be the quickest dieseal in its class.

Well we went down to the Mini delaer yesterday in Cobham. The sales lady was great as she spent 4 hours with us to help make a decision and not once did she get pushy. Her name is Kerry and I can not recomend her enough.
My wife drove the Copper S to start with but found the gears too notchy. I drove it next and she was right about it but not as bad for me as for her I felt. We then drove the new auto/triptronic box which my wife loved and I disliked as in manual mode it still changed gears for me well before the rev limit and doing so around 5900 rpm. It is my wife's car so I told her to go ahead with it.
When we were finished speccing the car up it came to 19.5K. I think my wife was surprised to say the least. She spent that much on the Golf but spending that much on the Mini made no sense to her. After a few discussion she went off to drive the Copper auto. Came back and really liked it but then also drove the Copper manual. This she fell in love with. The manual changes were smoother than in the S and the car although with less power felt to her more alive as it was lighter.
Spent another half hour speccing this one up and placed the order and delivery is Spet. I wanted to share the deal with you and also thank you for all your help. My wife for the first time in her life is buying a car for more than a means of transport and is well chuffed.
