Somehow I dont think the OP will listen to anyone and will buy the parts detailed in the OP anyhow.

I dont know why anyone wastes time on these sorts of threads?

Sounds like the OP will have to learn the hard way then

Sad, but true.

Lots of these threads, and all are simply seeking reassurance under the guise of a question

There are none so blind...

That's a little harsh! There is a mix of experience re EBC parts in this thread.... some good, some bad. He'll have to make a choice based on what people have said.

Hi,

I completely agree Simon W, as i am new to the S2000, only got mine in October 2009, these types of threads are invaluable for people like me, and i am sure they will be invaluable for other users as well.

I think the brakes are a very important component and decision to make on cars like the S.

As an update i am getting my corrosion levels checked this Saturday and if my mechanic thinks i need to replace i can confirm i am going to get the EBC Turbo Grooved discs and Red stuff pads all round probably from EBC Brakes 4U.

i have used their products before and i am going to go for it. Each to their own as they say!

And yes i am looking for some bling factor in my decision too!

Thanks to all who have posted!

Simon.

Deano, you can buy whatever brake pads/discs that you want, but you have to appeciate this car has been engineered as a sports car from the off. The standard brake discs and pads are fit for purpose, so upgrading them for normal road use is a waste of money. The S2000's brakes are excellent standard and even cope with light track use so what the EBC discs and pads will do for you I'm not sure.

I drove kitcat's 365rwhp SC'd 5 and thought his red stuff pads were excellent. That said, when I was researching replacing mine I decided on BI discs and stock pads which, together with ABS, should be plenty for normal road use.

Best to divert some of that spend to a proper 4 wheel laser alignment if you haven't already had it done.

Good luck and enjoy
