Default Need your opinion/help

i have decided on which wheels i want to get and am haveing the Enkei RPF01's shipped over from the states in the 8JET45 front and 9JET45 rear and i know i'm going to fit 225 fronts and 255 rear.

but my conundrum is which colour to go for. i thought i was pretty set on getting gold as i've not seen many in enkei's in the UK and i'm not aware of any in gold. but chatting to my mate has made me indecisive we both raised good points and its left me umming and arring a bit.

to be honest i think the silvers are out... why... silver wheels look to oem, and on the black car just kind of stand out to much.

i kind of think its between the golds and the black. my worries with both are.

Black... the wheels will just disappear into the arches and make it featureless, but they do look very mean (also i don't think i want them time attack style)

gold... is it going to be to much and make me look like an over aged ricer. gold definitly suits the car and its rare in this wheel in the UK

any ways here are some pictures to help you out. all borrowed from the offical enkei rpf01 thread.

so guys what do you think?

The silvers do look nice and fresh. However if its a choice between black and gold.....gold wins hands down.

Like you said, with the black on black the wheels don't stand out at all.

silver first, then black then gold.

what a conundrum

Hmmmm - yes, definitely NO to the black.

Gold.. - not sure, - might have to see it in the flesh,. I'm pondering whether there is something cheap looking about black & gold.

I get what you're saying about silver looking too OEM, when you're paying out that sort of money for different wheels, you do want them to look different.... - but they still look very good in that colour IMO!

Tricky!! Sorry - prob weren't much help! Wouldnt mind seeing a pic of the bronze

how about Anthracite it's not oem silver, it's not dissapering black or in your face gold or bronze. You might call it subtle metalic gray? what do you think?
If you have a friend with photoshop you could try different shades and colours on a pic of your S.

Gold wheels on black car = I want to be a 1970 JPS racing car.
Black wheels on black car = I want to be mad max.
Silver wheels on black car = Most people won't notice they aren’t standard wheels.

The gold are the most distinctive, but will probably need a lot of cleaning.

The black disappear, not so much because of the colour of the car but because you can't see the wheel spokes against the brakedisks and shadows – you need some coloured disks, a painted calliper and some whitewall tyres.

Silver looks normal, nice, but normal. Do you want to look normal?
