Are they out of stock on both sizes you posted? Or just the 245/40/17?

Mind you, the treadwidth (plus their structure and sidewalls) of the R888s is larger/wider than common radial tyres ( normal size of 245/40/17 rear) so in that case you would be fine by using a 235/40/17 tire.

On another note (although not sure how you use your car) you will need more than -2.0 camber in order to get them to work properly.

Why is that then?

I have only -1deg on the front and they seem to grip very well TBH.

Ofcourse the grip, compared to normal tyres, will be far superior even if the geo is not setup for this kind of tire.

It is a general rule that tires such as semislicks ,or even worse slicks need a lot of camber in order to work optimal(to say it more properly).

Because the R888s are aimed at trackuse, one can assume that they will be under some great cornering forces throughout their life span.
Their very stiff sidewalls is one of their advantages and promise many many fast laps with very good feedback from the steering wheel of the car.

In order to be able to take the most out of your tire, when tracking, you need to make it capable of achieving the most traction when under load (when cornering hard). Thats where camber kicks in.

Although when on a straight line, a lot of your tire's surface may not contact with the tarmac at all, when cornering the exact opposite happens. The more you push the more traction you get. (Hope all this makes sense and sorry if my syntax has somewhere gone wrong).

Even TOYO, under the SET UP & CARE tab, suggest camber of 2.5-5.0 degrees although these numbers are restricted to S2000 owners except if they have installed an aftermarket coilover set.
