Did wonder about that but it's a completely new unit, and the symptoms are *exactly* the same

The Honda S2000 uses a Torsen Type B differential, this is the same as a lot of cars including some Rover Turbos. I have had one for 5 years.

Can't see why you could not use one of these in an S. Would certainly be a lot cheaper and easier to find

Mazda make the diff, I remember them telling us at the Honda Institute

i doubt there's anything really wrong with the car - its the Greenwich view place gremlins again!

There's loads of S diffs about, cheap too.

maybe it is just the gears inside which are Mazda. Definitely mazda though
