Need good glue
I've got no less than two holes in my roof, in both the usual places (one passenger side toward the bottom nr where the roof meets the window, and one driver side above my right shoulder). Both caused by obvious sharp metal edges on the frame which I think just shouldn't be there, or be sharp. But thats another matter, I'm fighting honda customer services over that at the moment, and thinking of speaking to a soliciter etc. seen as its an 04 with 30k miles still under extended warranty.
Anyhow, in the mean time I can't afford to replace it for the moment. I tried halfords 'soft top repair kit' which just just utterly crap. Particularly the small amount of utterly crap glue with it, which just doesn't hold or last any amount of time, hence this post.
Anyone know of a good fabric glue for sticking patches to the inside of the roof and where to buy it from? Obviously needs to be strong and flexible and suitable for the material.
On a side note, I will probably lose the fight with honda and eventually have to get a new roof. I've looked at the faq and there are places like carhood warehouse recommended. Do their soft tops have the heated rear window, or can I re-use the window from mine? Anyone know of another good soft top place in the south (berkshire ideally)?
Also, honda have offered me the soft top and a replacment metal frame at a 'discounted' price of

I have some roof material for a small price see FS section, PM me if your interested.
You need to use, i think its neo something?, its used for wetsuits etc and was the only glue that worked and sticked.
I bought it off the internet but do a search on google.

Cheers fella's, I take it this is the glue (having searched for 'neo glue wetsuit'). Thanks for that, I'll get some ordered. I think Bibbs may be able to sort me out with some old soft top material, but you're choice no.2 if required
Glad I can get a replacment with the heating element as well. I think what I'll do eventually is use the hard top for a while, and try n remove the old roof and machine the metal where it's sharp. Then get a quote from carhood for fitting a new one. But a makeshift repair on the soft top will do for now...
