BI disks and Honda pads.

The BI pads I ran on the back of my S2000 didn't last very long.

The BI discs are great, but I always thought that is was best to match them with Honda pads as they are not that much more expensive.

I have all BI discs and their pads which are Mintex, well that's what was on the boxes and pads. They seem ok, my son got them smoking at North Weald at the first meet and I got them fairly hot last time out there but the kept stopping. They are wearing and lots of dust is evident on the wheels, but it doesn't seem to stick

If these are the same Mintex BI pads I have they're pretty good, and seem to be lasting forever. They do get better with some heat too, although I'm not sure how well they'd cope with serious track abuse. But for road use you shouldn't worry.

Grooves are meant to help deglaze pads. Whether they do or not I don't know, and in truth it's probably about looks as much as anything.
