We test drove an HR-V VTEC 4WD a couple of weeks back with a view to upgrading Amanda's Civic - we were very impressed.
If we had been offered a better trade-in we would have bought it.

There is also a new car out from Honda later this year called the F-RV and based on the C-RV. Looks nice. I don't know if we want to wait that long though.

I can't understand why anyone would buy an MPV over an estate car.
Maybe if you've got 5 kids it makes sense, otherwise they're ugly, more expensive, and have little usable boot space without taking seats out.

But then again I can't understand why people buy big 4x4s to take their kids to school.

I'm as guilty of this illogical thinking as anyone else, I've got two dogs and an S2000

I`ve got an MY04 Passat estate for fishing.

It`s a fully loaded TDI 130 bhp Highline; alloys, full leather, 6 disc, climate control, winterpack, heated seats, all the gadgets.

Its a fab vehicle and I`d advise anyone with that need to consider one but I`ll be honest, I`m VW biased - I`ve had loads of em. The quality has always been fantastic. Soon as I bought this car, did 1500 miles fishing trip to France, no probs.

Any more Passat/Golf advice needed, just ask.

I tried to see what she would say to an estate car and you should have seen the look on her face it was very similar to . I think she really doesn't want that but she also doesn't want a full blown MPV either instead just a small one like the one below:

unfortunately the car doesn't come like this!
