Default Name that smell :(

hey everyone,

i know we all get the slight warm/burning smell after a bit of vtecing but this was just taking it easy and it smells like burning rubber/clutch smell. the car is running fine and its not smoking. i cant pin point the smell but i can even smell it when im sitting in the car with the window down

had an mot and service about a month ago, and like i said the car runs and feels fine.

any ideas.

thanks

Have you checked to see if any of your brakes are seized? Your wheels will get noticeably hot if they are

One of your wheels will be MUCH hotter to the touch than the other ones after a spirited drive.

I think they all have a 'warm' smell to them once they've been used properly, mine certainly does. But worth checking out just in case.

Jesus wept, you should smell one when you come off track in it!

You haven't got a problem mate don't worry.

lol cheers guys.

but i think mr pus may be right. i took it easy on the way home and went round the front and had a good smell of the wheels....yummy. and the front right has that strange smell, is that coming from the brake pads then, how much is a new caliper if it is fooked.

JD-i usually wear PVC pants but today i went for the leather chaps so it cant be that. PVC makes me all sweaty down below.

where about in merseyside are you from Jonesey, thats a lovely wig your sporting.....if indeed it is a wig.
