Just got the one in the end as the one on the other side had 7mm on it, so it's only 1mm difference and it feels fine so far. Have a couple of trips this week so will see how I go, sure it will be just peachy...

Plug it. I plugged a front when I punctured on a track day. It lasted just as well as a new tyre.
