Default Myth busting....

Tried the old toothpaste trick on my headlights today.

Before:

Driver side done, passenger side not:

Smells minty fresh too

My headlights look misty too, what do you do?

Toothpaste is a mild abrasive - just like a cutting compound.

Another good one is Jif cream cleaner. Although I think it's now called Cif

Put the toothpaste on, use circular motions and rub with kitchen roll, keep rubbing until it starts to dry then add a bit of water and rub, then rinse off. You don't need too much toothpaste either, a line about 4 inches for each headlight.

Yep, stands to reason and is much cheaper than Scratch-X!

go on - fiver for the first person to use a DA with Pearl Drops.

I often use mine with Tcut when i want a bit more aggression Just have to use plenty of water during the process and finish off with a nice fine cut high gloss polish otherwise you get micromarring and holograms.

Car body polish supposedly has harmful solvents in it.

I used some stuff from Pinball Wizard, or Plexus is your friend.
