Mystery Wire on USDM cars for UK fog lamp?
Hello all,
I just finished replacing my tail lamps due to them fading to pink with UV exposure.
While I had the left side tail lamp out (looking from the rear of the car), I noticed an extra wire coming from the same conduit as the lighting for the tail lamp. This wire does not connect to anything, but is simply taped in place and pinched between the gasket for the lamp and the body of the car. Some have suggested that it is for a UK fog lamp, but I have not seen nor heard of this.
I have posted some pictures in the S2000 talk forum, under "Wire behind tail lamp".
Please take a moment to look at this post, as the group on this side of the pond does not have a definitive answer.
If you have any pics of the UK fog lamp installed, I would like to share it with the group over here.
Thank you in advance for any assistance,
Hockey

The fog light is the small red affair in the center
I can get close ups if you want, but it'll have to wait until tomorrow as it's gone dark!
(please try to ignore the bent wheel!)
