The 08 car has the CR suspension settings.

The new alloys are alleged to be lighter (by Honda).

I'd get the '08.

I had read somewhere that the silver colour has been dropped, been replaced by Donnington Brown, or is that a 2010 MY change?

Both silverstone silver and nurby blue dropped and replaced by Syncro - slightly darker silver with blue-ish tinge.

I'd definitely get the MY08, can't speak from experience on how its suspension setup varies from earlier models but I certainly can't complain about how mine goes. I get the impression Honda has finally got the car totally sorted in what in all likelihood will be its final iteration.

I'd say that was fair; after a lot of buggering about, it's sort of back the original specs, but with 17" wheels and VSA.

The RoW (outside EU) gets a softer suspension for the standard model, or a Type-S/CR ricer version.

I've got one somewhere...

In the meantime, you'll find a pretty accurate representation here:

I'm still a bit undecided on those wheels!

Doesn't look like the figures are coming back any more favourable and time is running out to get it before my holiday so I think it's most likely gonna be an MY08 in a few months.
