Great write up.

While we are on the subject my gearbox has never felt write, sometimes a get a gratting when changing gears, its fine when high revs are used it slips in nicely !!! But low revs like when its cold and I change gear aroubd 4000 rpm it doesnt feel right. Has anyone else had this problem. I drove a vw polo for my sins the other day (driving a mates car home for him) and the gear box change was smoother than a cashmere cod peice . Maybe it just needs the gear box oil changing, its got a 27,000 mile service due very soon ?

When Zero kindly brought the TR along to a Surrey meet earlier this year a few of us had a 'sit in' and the weight of the clutch is just staggering ........no matter how precise the gearbox, that clutch must make driving the car seriously hard work.

Some good points - and a few that sum the car up perfectly (the cruiser during the week but good enough for a fun toy at the weekend).

Not so sure I get that excited when the rev counter lights up though !!!

having driven a 360 Spider, I can agree the S's box is infinitely better. Having said that, if I could afford, I'd take the Spider!
