My Trip Around Europe

My Trip Around Europe
On Monday I got back from a 3.5 week trip around Europe. Don't know how to do the holiday justice in words, but needless to say we had a fantastic time.
Our route was Bristol, Poole, Cherbourg, Mont St Michel, La Rochelle, Bezeirs, then a week in Cannes. After that we popped across to the Italian cost stopping off in Monte Carloe and staying in Rapallo for 3 nights. The it was up to the Italian lakes, staying in the beautiful village of Varenna on lake Como for four nights, before we headed homewards across the Alps, taking the Simplon Pass, before staying in Lausanne and Champagne on the way back.
We used B-roads whenever possible and these were fantastic. The best ones were from Como to Brig and then Lausanne to Chalons-en-Champagne. However all of the driving was sheer joy and it's depressing to be back on UK tarmac. They really know how to build a goo B road in France, nice bendy bits and then dead straight for a couple of miles allowing easy over taking. The roads in the alps were just stunning, and the pics below don't do them any justice.
The car was superb too. Not a single problem. 2,500 miles in the baking heat and I did not even need to top up the oil. Roof was down the whole way there and back, apart from Bristol to Cherbourg when it was raining and one day on our way to Cannes when we had to put it down having been fried in the sun (that's afirst for me).
Anyway, we had some pics which included the car. Here they are...
Mont St Michel
Sunflowers in Brodeaux
Me in Bordeaux
Mountain Road in South of France
Random Car Shot
Monaco (have two great vids going through the tunnel in V-TEC)
Ferry across Como
Swiss Alps
Swiss Vin Yards
Nicked on the way home (for going around a aroundabout too fast )
Fezza in Santa Marg.
Fezza in Lausanne
