My S2000
Hi Guys,
New to the forum, just wanted to say hello. Put a quick pic up of my S2000 which is an AP1 S2K 2000 model, been in the family since it was 6 months old. Its not used as much as should, only the odd weekend really.
Up until a few months ago the car was totally standard until it went to Honda for a service After having all fluids replaced and plugs, all new disks and pads they advised that the front and rear calipers were binding quite badly, but had freed them up and there was no need to replace them (Hummm yeah right) Got the car home to find the both front and rear calipers were now binding worse than ever so rather than destroy 4 new disks or give it back to Honda it was time to get my hands dirty.
Decided to put Spoon's on the front (Hubs off, longer studs pressed in, disk heat shield trimmed, Drop Engineering Lug Nuts)and just standard new calipers on the rear. No real issues to be honest, whilst I had the car in bits I thought I might as well change the suspension for coilovers as well as some Volk CE28N's as the tyres on the standard rims were shot anyway. Only downside is the wheels and calipers took a couple of months to be delivered but no great shakes.
Anyway its all back together and drives really well now. Will adjust the coilovers height again once its done a few miles The badges need to go back on the wings as well, purchased new ones as the originals were getting a bit tired.
