Default Are my rear shocks gone?

The car, an '01 has got about 73k on the clock and the rear shocks are making a very audible squeaking noise when I go over speed bumps. Also from driving the back end stability doesn't seem that great in sweeping turns.

Is there any obvious way of verifying if the shocks are shot?.

If they are gone, would I need to replace all the shocks on the car?

Finally - what would be the best remedy for someone slightly cash strapped

OEM shocks from a breaker?

I can remember seeing a car with fecked shocks and it was obvious just by looking at the clearance between the wheels and the arches and comparing it with a similar aged car without fecked shocks.

You can also rock the car to see if there fecked.

I replaced mine at about 115k and they were fine, IMO they were a little lazy.

Thanks,

That last description is just how they sound, and I do hit all the speed bumps on my out of the house when cold

I'll leave them alone then - I'm sure they are still fine. Can't afford to throw any money at them at the moment any way.
