After being driven round by the missus for a few days in her 1.6 Astra, i was well happy to be jumping into my S this morning. After giving the Vtec some abuse down some twisty semi country roads i happened across an old dear doing 29Mph. We soon entered into a semi built up area so i was tootling along. But as soon as we came into this section, who is standing there looking like he was about to shoot my tyres out. PC plod with a Infa red gun.

Normally i would be doing a good 50 ish.

Still, i was pretty mad they were there instead of out side a school or somewhere that needed it.
Would it be unadvisable to park up before the speed trap and hold up a sign warning other drivers to slow down?

Hmmmmmm. I will have a random stab at 30Mph? No flashing signs making it obvious.

They had a speed trap on my route into work last year and some kind soul had painted a sign on a huge piece of Cardboard saying speedtrap ahead. It was hung on a sign on the roundabout prior...

If you were to turn off the A491 at the Bell pub. Over the bridge on the M5 and as you enter the back of Rubery before Great park. Its my way of avoiding the Bristol Road.

I was saved from a speeding ticket by a horse once! I was driving down a country road (probably only slightly over the limit) and 300 yds in front there was a horse rearing up in the middle of the road (not frightened by me I might add). I stopped in the middle of the road blocking the traffic until it calmed down and moved off onto a footpath that crossed the road. Whilst all this was going on two coppers came out of the bushes with their speed guns!
