My First race
I was sat at some traffic lights the other week and a Honda Prelude 2.2 pulled up at the side of me. I looked over at him and he smiled at me, I looked at his car and it had a massive metal fin and it was done up like a boy racer. I wasn't sure whether to go for it as i had only had my S for a few days. You know what its like tho, men with there toys. So I went for it and so did he. 1st 2nd we were level and just before 3rd the road came into one lane and i pulled out and let him go . Didn't look like he was going to slow and I didn't want to reck my new car. Wasn't to imprest as it was my first race.
Who would of won if the road Didn't go into one lane?
This race was with my F***** clutch, do you think my new clutch would of made a difference. My wheels did step out tho when I changed gear!!
Who thinks I was wrong to pull out and who thinks I was sensible?

The most fun I have with the S is when I am trying to drive as smoothly and quickly as I can through a set of twisties.
Car's going fast in a straight line is pretty irrelevant IMHO - it takes little skill, presents little challange to the driver, and hence is no fun. The car really shines on corners.

It stupid, but every now and then you have to see just how fast you can go in an S.
Wait until the summer mate and as Euan says get it down some twisty lanes and then see how it handles.

Don't worry about it. As Euan says, have fun in the twisties. I was out for a drive yesterday. It was pissing it down but unlike some owners here I don't really care about it being wet, just drove a little slower with less acceleration. Eventuallly I came to a DC and an E Class Merc wanted a go. I had no interest. At this stage the road was very wet and I was not going to race someone with gizmos in their car to prove a point and especially not in a straight line.
