Don't get me wrong, the 04/05 is arguably more capable on public roads as it's much less upset by bumpy surfaces and I'm driving it generally 10% quicker than my old one. Doesn't seem to be quite as communicative on corners though (even if it's not the bite you in the @ss kind of communication ) Strange.
I've got to the point in my S2000 modding where I don't care at all what changes they make the MY06 (unless its a 3 litre engine ), its still going to be manufacturered to a set budget

[rant on]It really makes me laugh when I read ppl moaning about traction control... WHY FFS?
I don't get it, S2k's are crashed all the time in the wet, yes its due to driver error, but I strongly believe that a traction control system would have gone some way to helping the driver and holding the car together.
Whats the issue? If you use your car as a daily drive and have to drive in very wet and dangerous conditions what is wrong with having traction control? In the wet switch it on, in the dry switch it off.
I can drive my car in the wet and I have NEVER Had a moment in the wet. That doesn't mean to say I am a good driver, I may have been lucky on one or two occasions. I mentioned before in another post that a week ago I drove an RX8 on a soaking wet Rockingham track, I drove the car really hard and the TC worked brilliantly to hold the car on the track. There is NO WAY and S2000 would have been able to do that without TC.
The point is that I would be mad if you could not switch the TC off and if it continually interfered with my driving, but since its likely to be a switchable system I really do not understand what the issue is? It will stop crashes. [/rant off]
Anyway, I will be getting a new MY06. My lease is up in 03/06 and I can't wait for my new S. I am hoping for a 2.2 with 260bhp, new wheels and yes TC! It will certainly help me enjoy the car more in the bleak wet and cold months.

Because it dillutes the orignal ethos of the car as a pure driver focused sports car.
Nannying electronics to compensate for a shit driver in a sports car do not make
Besides we all know it's a ploy to sell more units, before the car gets it's final death nail, by which time it'll have TCS, 6 airbags, trip computer, electronic seats with memory and massage function, 18" chrome spinners and weigh about 1.5 tonnes

I'm sure it doesn't dilute the sporting ethos of Enzo's, F430's, SLR's, 911's, Lambo's, Aston's etc
