This car is getting to me already and I find myself here, asking the most pathetic of questions but it's been bugging me all morning.

I've just fitted my Premier MUZ Mats and notice that the drivers mat sits over the accelerator stop thereby reducing the amount of loud pedal travel by the thickness of the mat. I know it sounds pretty anal but does anyone know if this is reducing the max. throttle opening??

I need to get someone to check the linkage under the bonnet while I press the pedal to the max. I also need to get a life!!!!

I thought about this, then forgot about it and now that you've reminded me, I haven't noticed any problems.

The MUZ mats caused a week of paranoia when I fitted them last summer. Slow 0-60times, lack of acceleration

The I realised at SM2 that it was fine, performed just like the rest of the 'S's and the mats shouldn't make any difference.

PS If you wash and wax your car, it has been proven to go faster, just ask CC

Just as I was about to get the Swiss Army out to cut a chunk out of the Mat!!

I am still going to check the throttle linkage at full pedal just to be sure but for now I can rest easy that i'm not the only pedal to the metal freak.

Guys

I was thinking exactly the same last Saturday. Funny really as I've had the Mats in place since I've had the car. So thanks guys, guess there's no need for me to remove them and check to see if I can feel any difference.
