Per thread posted yesterday re possible group buy of Muz mats could those people interested give their view on whether we should try to pursue a Group Buy, or just do it individually on the bais of following:

Had response from Muz with following offer:

Hi Alun,

I checked the thread out. If you get 10 or more items together I will sell them to you at distributors prices. Give me a yell when you do and I'll send you a login and password.

Basically you're looking at...
10-12 Items : 12%
13-15 Items : 15%
16-19 Items : 17%
20 Items and over : 20%

...discount on product plus 10% off shipping.

Orders must ship to and be paid for by a single purchaser. I will send you a fax order form and number when you are ready.

Regards,

On an individual basis Muz does following discounts for S2ki members (see the link below Muz's signature):

1-2 items 5%
3-4 items 7%
5 or more items 10%

The problem with doing the group buy is that everything must be paid for by one person and delivered to one address - then leaving the problem over here that money needs to be exchanged and deliveries made.

Thanks for doing all this work Alun, but it doesn't really look worthwhile. Particularly as the goods have to be reposted in the UK to their final destinations.

Also the organiser might then get a bill 3 months later for the duty & VAT on all the items and have to chase everyone for more money

Sounds like a lot of aggro for little gain, but thanks for trying

One person can always order for 2 or 3 who may happen to live nearby as a means of obtaining higher discounts. Items would still ship individually (to keep the value down) but to the same address. Just a thought. This is one reason I replaced the group buy system and went with tiered discounts.
