Is that the cheapest place Fletch? Is the price quoted on the site delivery inclusive?

I just guess the Honda ones are shite then. If an oilcap removes itself I`d say it`s not fit for purpose - something to take up with the manufacturer. No need to buy another.

Ask Honda if `their` oil caps are good enough. See what response you get.
cc..I also have had plenty of cars..many of them dirty diesels that needed regular oil top ups...and this is the first time a cap blew off..and also therefore first time I changed an OEM on.

funnily enough, I did chat with somebody in Jp who is very well connected to Honda, about S2000 engines...and he said he could not comment on S2000 or Integra type R engine issues

Kobe, are Minis popular in Japan? I`d imagine they are massive.

not really massive..but I think you probably see more original ones here than in UK..typically blokes drive the old ones (since they need to be handy with a spanner) and the girls drive the new ones.

I notice the BMW have fitted folding "up" door mirrors (do they do that in UK?)

J's Racing have donated one of these as a MM1 prize..you could be lucky (or unlucky if you already bought a Mugen one)

Does the likelihood of the cap popping off increase as the engine is pushed harder and then (presumably) the oil temp increases? I've got a heavier right foot than you Col (and I do track days) so I'm thinking that its more likely to occur on my car than yours

I've never had an issue with the standard cap but having a read a few threads on them unscrewing, breaking etc, I thought it would be wise to invest in a Mugen.

Kobe - Have J's got their yellow racer back in action again? Saw the BM vid when the driver downshifted causing the engine to over rev and spill it's guts on the track with a great ball of fire.
